Football Players Honors President Trump at White House
President Donald J. Trump showed that he can be fighting a war and still host the winning Miami Football (Soccer) Team.
On Thursday, President Trump welcomed the 2025 Major League Soccer Champions – the Inter Miami CF. The delegation included League owners, Lionel Messi, the team’s captain, players and coach, family members and government officials. See trophy in photo below.
President Trump relived the thrills and joys of the shots that helped the Inter Miami team win the championship over their European rivals. He recalled his love for the game and years watching Brazilian Football Champion Pele play.
He also pointed to the 2026 FIFA World Cup Games to be held in the United States, Mexico and Canada from June 11th to July 19th.
President Trump was honored with a T-Shirt with the number 47 and his surname name printed on it. He was also given a football and a watch. After the proceedings, he invited the team to the Oval Office.
