Women’s History Month Event & National Working Mother’s Day

Thursday March 12th was designated National Working Mother’s Day.

President Donald Trump made room for Women to shine in the East Room at the White House on National Working Mother’s Day in the month that recognizes the remarkable achievements of women.

Opening the event was First Lady Melania Trump. She relayed the multiple tasks women perform such as wife, mother, entrepreneur, and many other significant roles.

She posited that she herself has served in many roles and shared the following:

“As a visionary, I know success is not borne over night, but rather, takes shape after a long, and sometimes challenging process. Often alone at the top, I follow my passion, listen to my instinct, and always maintain a laser focus. In solitude my creative mind dances—filling my imagination with originality.”

“Attention to detail, demanding schedules, and multi-tasking are everyday realities when building towards success. This principle resonates across all my roles: as a mother, humanitarian, philanthropist, and entrepreneur. As well as with my new film, where I shaped its creative direction, served as producer, managed post-production, and activated the marketing campaign.”

Likewise, the First Lady urged young women, entrepreneurs, and future leaders to make time for themselves, educate daily, and spread their passion. She also encouraged them to be courageous and take risks. Advance their profession through inspiration and be bold chief executives while keeping their families at the center of the nation’s future.

Meanwhile, President Trump highlighted his Administration’s policies and achievements that have made women’s lives better as well as their families. Such policies included tax reforms, exclusion of men in women’s sports, reproductive health, inheritance (land) policies, and reduction in drug prices.

Furthermore, he reiterated that men will not be allowed to compete against women in the 2028 Olympics.

The President invited several women to speak briefly; they each shared how the president’s policies have improved their lives. They were all working mothers. Their professions included: Waitress, Technician, Farmer, Sheriff, and Olympic Medalist.

President Trump was given a medal by the Olympic Medalist Kaillie Humphries.

Finally, among the women in attendance there was the wife of Vice President Vance, Mrs. Usha Vance, Women Cabinet Members, Women from Congress, and women from all walks of life.
