President Donald J. Trump hosted world leaders, who have become friends and admirers as the Board of Peace held their first meeting at the Donald J. Trump US Institute of Peace, in Washington DC on Thursday February 19th.

President Trump announced to the world that the United States will pledge $10 Billion to the Gaza reconstruction and relief project in addition to what a number of States have also pledged making it close to $17 Billion.

President Trump underscored that this day may be one of the most important days of their careers as they endeavor to help Gaza. He also submitted that they would take it a step forward when other hotspots arise around the world.

The Board of Peace may be one of the most consequential bodies created as they will solve problems which are certain to arise around the world, the US President maintained.

Concerning the United Nations, President Trump stressed that the Board of Peace will work with the world body and promised to help make the organization formidable. He also pledged to repair and beautify the UN Building, in New York.

Member States spoke reaffirming their commitment to the goals of the Board of Peace, the World Bank stated their readiness to manage the funds and provided assurances of their intent to preserve financial integrity.  FIFA spoke of bringing hope through sports, Football games, and funding the initiatives in millions of dollars with the goal of building bridges. Some Member States pledged to send their police officers to train the Palestinians, provide field hospitals, grant scholarships and medical care in their home countries, and many more salient initiatives. A few called for a Palestinian State.

Further, Israel’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Gideon Sa’ar reminded the Board of Peace of the terrible event committed against Jews and the State of Israel on October 7, 2023. He pointed out that Hamas raped and murdered women and burnt whole families. He called on the Board of Peace to ensure the core issues continued to be addressed, namely, the disarmament of Hamas, destruction of their underground terror networks and complete changes to their educational system. He also added that the people of Gaza must be liberated from this terror network and thanked President Trump for his leadership.

Many leaders and guests spoke including, Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Special Envoys Witkofff and Kushner, Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Presidents, Prime Ministers, Board Officials and others.

Finally, President Trump signed a Resolution for Financial Integrity and another document on the Fund-Raising Pledges in the approximate sum of $6 ½ Billion for Relief and Rebuilding.
