Election Integrity

When asked by the Press Corps why President Trump was focusing on election integrity over the economy, the Press Secretary assured the Press that the president has to ability to focus on many issues at the same time. She promised that the speech would be revealing.

Drop in Inflation

Leavitt contended the Administration’s economic policies were working. She submitted that inflation had dropped 0.4 percent in June. These numbers did beat expectations, she stressed and added that they marked the largest monthly decline in more than six years. She listed a number of services where prices fell, they included: for gasoline, electricity, non-prescription drugs, car insurance, medical care services and hotel. Real weekly earnings also rose in June. And for private sector workers real wages have increased by $1,000 since President Trump took office. The Press Secretary affirmed that there was still more work to be done and that’s the reason President Trump remains laser focus on lowering cost and raising wages for working families. She also noted that Walmart and Sam’s Club committed, last week, to lowering prices on thousands of items in their stores across the country. And stated that shoppers can expect meaningful savings on groceries, household essentials, outdoor living products, toys, apparels and other everyday staples.

Trump Accounts

The Trump Accounts is officially live, she reported. More than 6.5 million American children have been signed up for accounts, so far. The Press Secretary underscored that Trump Accounts have the potential to literally transform the financial future of this country. It’s a free investment saving account she observed. It does not cost anything to open. She offered the following guidelines:

1.     Any child under the age of 18 is eligible to have a Trump Account opened in his or her name.

2.     Every child born between January 1st 2025 and December 31st 2028 will receive a $1,000 seed deposit from the United States Treasury.

3.     Parents, guardians, relatives, and friends can contribute up to $5,000 a year, combined, for each child. Employers can also contribute up to $2,500 per year on a tax saver basis counting toward the annual cap.

Leavitt further elaborated that government projections showed that a child could receive $300,000 by his or her 18th birthday. She argued that this was truly a transformational, non-partisan program and encouraged parents to sign up their children.

Border Security

Leavitt cited numbers released by Homeland Security & Customs and Border Protection that for the 14th straight month this Administration has released zero illegal alien into the United States. She added that illegal crossings in June have remained at historic lows. Southwest border apprehensions were down by 94 percent, compared to the same period under the Biden Administration. In addition, she posited that thanks to President Trump’s strong leadership and unwavering commitment to law enforcement, America has the most secured border in the nation’s history.

Meanwhile, the Press Secretary also noted the Trump Administration continues to reverse the influx of the millions of illegal aliens who came into the country during the Biden Administration and that law enforcement officers were arresting illegal aliens across the country included those convicted of the most heinous and violent crimes. She listed a number of criminal illegal aliens ICE arrented this past weekend. They were two Mexican nationals, a Dominican national, a Saudi national, and a Nicaraguan national.

Their crimes ranged from murder to sexual criminal acts against children.
