White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt covered a wide range of subjects in Thursday’s Press Briefing. She reminded the Press Corps that President Donald Trump took office on January 20th and since taking office, he has been working to provide opportunities to improve the lives of the American people. She stressed that President Trump promised big and has delivered.
Subjects she covered fell under domestic and foreign policies. Examples included:
Domestic Policy areas:
· Economic Front: Affordability. Real wages: Up. Inflation dropped: Currently at 2.7 percent. Pro-growth policies. American energy: To make energy affordable. Gas prices have fallen to its lowest level in five years. Prices were expected to fall even lower in the next few months. Tax Refund in 2026 will be good for American families. It’s expected to be 1/3 larger than usual or roughly $1,000 per filer. No tax on tips, overtime and Social Security. Border Security: A national security victory.
Foreign Policy areas:
· Venezuela: Sanctioned oil tanker seized. The US was carrying out investigations on the tanker. The vessel will go to a US port and the US does intend to seize the oil. The legal process is underway in considering the oil and so forth.
· Russia and Ukraine War
· Gaza: The future peace initiatives for 2026
· China: Only selected companies to receive AI Chips.
In conclusion, the Press Secretary stated that President Trump’s achievements in ten months included: the economy was back on track and ready to boom over the next three years. The inflation crisis was over, prices were coming down, wages were rising, the border was fully secure, and Americans best days were to come.
